**Starting December 1st: we are excited to bring you a dedicated group of forecasters to discuss our local ski weather!**

For now, here is our brief current forecast:
TL;DR. Highs will be in the low 30’s, while a stable high pressure moves east over Utah. A chance of a brief storm Monday, but minor accumulations are expected.

Nowcast: High pressure and sunny skies prevail today as ridging continues to build into the area. Air quality in the valley is decreasing, so try and get up into the mountains. A current look from Alta shows a blue bird day with calm winds!

Short-Term Forecast: Tomorrow night, a storm system will increase clouds and an accompanying cold front will bring cooler temperatures. The trough, seen below, will just impact northern Utah as it makes its way east on Monday night. This storm looks to be a light dusting at best, but there are a few ensemble members between 2-5 inches. 1 inch at the Alta collins station is what most members are trending towards. Shown below is the 26 member model run for Alta Collins Valid at 09Z 2020-11-29.

Long-Range Forecast: Utah is under a pattern that favors ridging and high pressure. This means more sun for now, but increasing winds and cooler temperatures later in the week. Enjoy the blue sky but hope for snow! Keep reading our upcoming forecasts to see when the next big storm will come!
